We Cannot do
Sometimes hospitals request that patients attend the surgery for pre-operative checks, swabs or prescriptions. This is not part of the primary care service and you will be advised to return to the hospital for this.
Sometimes patients in outpatient clinics are given a piece of paper advising on medication rather than a prescription. This is inappropriate. We will sometimes prescribe under these conditions but it will take at least a week and may take longer if we need further information from the clinic.
